This Brocade XBR-000478 32G FC SFP+ ELWL transceiver is designed for Brocade Gen 7 Fibre Channel platforms, including the G720, G730, FC64-48, and FC32-X7-48 blade modules. It supports 4G/8G/16G/32G FC and is intended for single-mode fiber with LC duplex connections, with a supported distance up to 25 km and a 10 km minimum link length.

Installation is straightforward because this is a hot-swappable SFP+ module. You simply insert it into a compatible Brocade Fibre Channel port and connect a duplex LC single-mode fiber cable. For best results, confirm your switch model, port compatibility, and that your link distance falls within the 10 km to 25 km supported range.

The module is built for enterprise SAN environments and uses a 1310 nm DFB laser with FC-PI-6 compliance for 28.05/14.025/8.5 Gb/s operation. It also supports digital diagnostics per SFF-8472, so you can monitor transmit power, receive power, temperature, voltage, and laser bias current in real time.
